How can school districts and high schools identify practices that support marginalized yet resilient students to thrive? And scale those practices so they can reach more?

The Robust and Equitable Measures to Inspire Quality Schools Research Tools and Resources Guidebook provides recommendations for designing and conducting qualitative research with or within high schools where historically marginalized yet resilient students thrive and outperform demographically similar high schools. This guidebook will help researchers, system leaders, school administrators, educators and community members interested in conducting equity-centered, school-based investigations to understand the factors that have contributed to academic success for historically marginalized yet resilient students. By identifying those practices, districts can focus on bringing them to more students.

Created to be adaptable to meet your specific needs and contexts, this guidebook is organized into four main sections:

  1. Conceptual framework
  2. Preparation
  3. Collaboration
  4. Data planning and collection

This guidebook’s contents can be followed sequentially or in the order that is most useful for you and your team. Throughout there are links to tools and templates that can guide you along the way.
