Whayne works to create an environment where everyone can do their best to achieve the goals and vision of KnowledgeWorks. He is responsible for organization-wide talent management activities such as recruiting, on-boarding, performance management, training and organization development, compensation and benefits management, employee engagement and employee relations.
With close to 40 years of experience as a human resources leader and executive in a variety of industries, including higher education, health care and technology, Whayne holds the national SPHR and SCP certifications. He is also a licensed mental health therapist and has certification in a variety of training and personal development programs. He has a personal passion for group work and leads several support and therapy groups in the local community in addition to a small, private therapy practice.
Whayne recently he used his counseling background to develop and introduce professional development training to KnowledgeWorks’ clients on Creating and Maintaining Trauma Informed Environments for Children and Adolescents.
A long-time resident of California, Whayne graduated with a bachelor’s in secondary education from Antioch College, a master’s in business administration from Stanford University and a master’s in clinical mental health from Northern Kentucky University.
