Corey Cloyd

Administrative Assistant for Operations

Areas of Expertise: administrative operations, intercultural communications, foreign language acquisition

My work to facilitate our success as an organization is meaningful, no matter how minor my individual contribution may be.

As administrative assistant, Corey supports operations and development and provides backup support for facilities management. Corey brings years of military experience in a fast-paced operating environment, as well as extensive time spent living, studying and working abroad. It has allowed him to develop organizational efficacy and to examine complex issues from new and varied perspectives.

Corey came to KnowledgeWorks from Kyoto, Japan, where he worked as a senior high school English teacher. He previously served in the U.S. Army as a Special Operations Airborne Ranger and deployed twice to Afghanistan. He earned a master’s degree in intercultural German studies with a certificate in integration and diversity as a Fulbright and DAAD scholar at the University of Göttingen in Germany. He earned a bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from the University of Cincinnati, where he majored in German studies and minored in English literature.

Outside of work, Corey enjoys spending time with his wife and son, reading and practicing martial arts.
