The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) provides states with a number of opportunities to build better assessment systems that support student-centered learning. The innovative assessment pilot will give states like Louisiana and New Hampshire the opportunity to partner with innovative district leaders to design next generation assessment systems that ensure assessment is a more positive and meaningful experience for students.
