A promising approach to education reform has emerged in more than 100 communities across the country where partnerships of cross-sector leaders are using evidence based strategies and existing resources to improve outcomes for students. This approach, called collective impact, replaces competing agendas, siloed funding streams and duplicative programs with a shared vision for education reform. As the largest investor in the nation’s education system, the federal government is in a unique position to help scale this emerging framework for reform.
