As recognition for a long, impactful career in public education, Deb Delisle recently was awarded with the Distinguished Service to American Education Award by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.

“There is no one more deserving of this award than Deb,” KnowledgeWorks President and CEO Judy Peppler said. “Her experience spans throughout the K-12 space, from the classroom to the U.S. Department of Education. She is an advocate, not only for public education throughout the country, but also for individual students and their success.”

Delisle joined the KnowledgeWorks board of directors in August 2015, and currently works as executive director and chief executive officer at the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), a global community dedicated to excellence in learning, teaching and leading. She previously served as the U.S. Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education at the U.S. Department of Education.
