SXSWedu: State Actions to Advance Student-Centered Policy

March 7 - 10, 2022

At SXSWedu 2022, we will be co-presenting at a session called State Actions to Advance Student-Centered Policy.

As states continue to grapple with the impacts of the pandemic, many are seizing this once in a generation opportunity to make their K-12 education systems more personalized and student centered. This session will explore examples of how states are transforming their education systems and will provide a vision for how all states can center K-12 education on the needs of each individual student to ensure that they are prepared for success in college, careers and life.

Speakers at this session include:

  • Nick Archuleta, president of North Dakota United
  • Daarel Burnette, assistant managing editor at Education Week
  • Jonathan Moore, deputy superintendent of student achievement at the Nevada Department of Education
  • Lillian Pace, vice president of policy and advocacy for KnowledgeWorks
