The Foundation for Excellence in Education’s 10th Annual National Summit on Education Reform will take place from November 29 to December 1, 2017, in Nashville, Tennessee. At this event, KnowledgeWorks Vice President of Communications and Marketing Cris Charbonneau will serve as a panelist for a session called “What’s in a Name? — Tap the Power of Messages that Work.” As the sessions description says, “Word choice is crucial – not only so everyone is on the same page, but so we understand connotations associated with the terms. Recent research has found the messages and wording that resonate most with audiences today on reform policies. And more than choosing the right words, it’s also important to match them to the right audience and have credible storytellers to make the right words go even further.”
The Summit is expected to attract more than 1,000 local, state and national policymakers from 47 states across the country – including legislators, chief state school officers and Governors’ policy directors, as well as state and national education advocacy organizations.
