Read a new white paper from Matt Williams about scaling early college high schools.

Scaling Early College High Schools

As we celebrate Early College High School Week, one question on my mind is, “How do we bring the early college experience to more communities?”

Scaling any education initiative at the state level is a difficult proposition demanding results, clear strategic vision, focused alignment of enabling policies, and the right funding structures.

Matt Williams, the Vice President of Policy and Advocacy for KnowledgeWorks, has written a policy brief that:

  • Examines the enabling policies and funding structures that support the growth and scaling of early college high schools.
  • Focuses on the enabling and sustaining policies in states with a particular emphasis on early college high schools: North Carolina, Ohio, and Texas.
  • Provides a survey of state-level funding structures that support early college high schools.

I encourage you to read this paper and learn how we can make early college a reality for more students.
