Jillian Darwish
Vice President, Organizational Learning and Innovation
Dr. Jillian Darwish is Vice President, Organizational Learning and Innovation (OLI), which works to build the capacity of groups to think and learn in new ways that support innovation and the creation of a world of learning. OLI carries out its work in three ways – creating innovative regional and national partnerships and programs; developing knowledge and resources for the future of learning, and designing strategic learning experiences.
Jillian blends her expertise in organizational learning and knowledge of future trends with a deep commitment to dialogue and collaboration in order to lead a team of experts energized to help groups, teams, and organizations think, learn, and work together in new ways. Drawing on her background in the fields of design and education, Jillian excels in creating experiences for groups of 20 to 2,000 that expand individual and collective imaginations and support groups in stretching the boundaries for the future they want to create together.
An award-winning educator and leader, she has taught a wide range of students from primary through graduate school, has led regional teams to create widely distributed multimedia educational products and services, and has received national recognition for the design and implementation of an organizational learning system serving a 500-member organization and twenty-two public school districts. In her prior work as Collaborative Knowledge Management Director with KnowledgeWorks, she and her team, with support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, created Educator's Knowledge Network, a vibrant peer-to-peer learning network for 1300 teachers across fifty-two small schools in Ohio.
Jillian earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning; a master's in elementary education from Xavier University; and a doctorate of education in curriculum and instruction from the University of Cincinnati.
