As a former award-winning journalist and editor during a 20-year newspaper career, McCauley has a wealth of communications and public relations experience, as well as extensive media, government, education and business relationships throughout North America.
McCauley spent more than four years as a member of the editorial board of the Cincinnati Enquirer as associate editorial page editor. He also served as Executive Speechwriter at Cintas Corp., one of the 600 largest public companies in North America. In that role, he was the primary speechwriter for the company’s executive leadership team and led its internal communications efforts.
Most recently, McCauley served as Director of Media and Public Relations at Grambling State University, where he was the chief spokesperson for the university and implemented a comprehensive communications strategy.
In his spare time, McCauley is a youth mentor and has been deeply involved with Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
McCauley earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Louisiana Tech University and a master’s degree in public relations from the University of Southern Mississippi. He has worked as an adjunct assistant professor of journalism at the University of Cincinnati.
A Louisiana native and the son of a teacher, McCauley has always appreciated the value of education in the lives of young people. “Today, more than ever, it’s important that students become lifelong learners so that they can compete in an increasingly complex global environment. I feel so fortunate to be able to tell that story on behalf of an organization that sees the learning needs of students as its primary objective.”
